Missouri Public Service (MPS) offers a low income weatherization funding program that is distributed to community action agencies. To be eligible, you must be within at least 125% of poverty level and reside in either a site built or mobile home. Measures they provide help with include: compact fluorescent lights; low flow shower heads; tank and pipe wrap; duct repair; kitchen aerators; attic, wall, and floor insulation.

The aid is also focused on those, because of unexpected expenses such as a death in the family, a birth, or other issues find themselves unable to pay their heating or utility bills. HeatShare provides payments toward natural gas, electricity, propane, fuel oil or wood bills. Grants may also be available for critical, emergency repairs to air conditioners, furnaces, hot water heaters and other energy related equipment. Help is also available for repairs to broken doors or windows.
Heat-Up St. Louis Provides energy aid and grants that range from $100 to $600 to qualified applicants. Heat-Up St. Louis Inc. is an all-volunteer, regional charity that focuses on helping the disabled, elderly, and lower income households with their delinquent heating or utility bills.
