While Arizona Public Service always highly recommends that people in need of help with paying utility bills call them to discuss their options, below you will find information on some of the service and resources offered to those in need of help.

Project SHARE (Service to Help Arizonans with Relief on Energy) - Private donations fund this assistance program. Funds may be used to help pay qualified families energy bills, such as gas, electric, fuel oil, cooling, and wood. There are certain criteria that need to be met, and funds are limited. The Salvation Army runs this program at the local level throughout Arizona.

Arizona Community Action Agencies - These are non-profit organizations that are in each and every county in Arizona. The agencies can provide help with paying such expenses as rent, cooling bills and utilities through programs such as URRD, direct cash grants from utility companies, LIHEAP, and Weatherization.

Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) - This program can offer the low income and elderly access to energy bill assistance programs. The LIHEAP program is funded at the federal government level, and it is administered among federal and state governments agencies and utility companies. These financial assistance programs help those in need with paying utility deposits and bill payments, repair or replace certain appliances, and funds may be used to conduct home weatherization energy saving improvements.

Save money from E3 and E4. Qualified individuals can save on their monthly electric bills through the APS Energy Support Program (E-3) or Medical Care Equipment Program (E-4). If an applicant meets the conditions of the programs, E-3 and E-4 offer up to 40 percent off the cost of the monthly electricity bills for customers

Arizona Public Service (APS) Energy Wise Low Income Weatherization Program. The federal and state government funded Low Income Weatherization Assistance Program can help people save on their utility bills. Weatherization has the primary mission of reducing the fuel, utility or electricity bills for space heating, space cooling, conservation, and water heating for income-eligible households.
