Avista Utilities - LIRAP Program
This is a lower income rate assistance program that will help with paying utility, heating, and electric bills and is funded by Avista customers.

Avista Utilities
Avista utilities customers that qualify on the income criteria can receive weatherization (air sealing and insulation) or heating system improvements from Avista Utilities and their local community action agency.

Helping Hand Program
This Idaho co-op created the Helping Hand Assistance Program to help fixed and lower income households with paying for unexpected emergencies.

Idaho Power
Idaho Power will provide financial assistance to help with paying bills to both Idaho and Oregon Community Action Partnership (CAP) agencies. They will help cover the cost for weatherization of electrically heated homes of qualified customers.

This program is managed by the Salvation Army, and Project Share aid is available year round to help those who cannot pay winter heating bills or other utility bills due to age, illness, disability, or unemployment.  Read more.

Kootenai Electric Cooperative
Operation Roundup
This program is funded by customer donations, and those funds are placed into a trust and managed by an independent Board of Directors that is selected by Operation Roundup. Grants are available to help pay for crucial needs such as food, utility bills, clothing, shelter, heating bills, medical care, and education, but aid is not limited to these categories.

Idaho families can receive free weatherization services to help save on energy bills, including additional insulation, free CFL bulbs, refrigerator replacements, and other measures that improve water heating efficiency and save on water bills.
