The program they offer provides low-income households and other consumers who have been unable to obtain or keep running natural gas service from another natural gas marketer. If you apply and are found eligible, low-income consumers can purchase their utility and natural gas service at a special, reduced rate that is regulated by the Georgia Public Service Commission. Call Scana Energy and ask about this program.

This program helps those customers who are in need, and the program was created from a partnership from the Georgia Environmental Facilities Authority and Resource Service Ministries. This new assistance program, in which Atlanta Gas Light will invest over $1 million of its own corporate funds over the next 12 months, will have different components, and it will provide both natural gas equipment replacement and repair, and also weatherization services for qualified low-income households and senior citizens that receive natural gas from the company.

To expand on above, the Atlanta Gas and Light Home and Heartwarming Project project offers assistance for paying utility bills in two primary areas, including Weatherization Services. This program will help people reduce their monthly utility bills by lowering the amount of heat lost from homes. The weatherization program offers customers with free weatherization services such as adding additional and improving insulation and sealing duct work in the home. On the other hand, the Repair and Replacement Services program provides individuals who have defective or inoperative furnaces and hot water heaters with repair assistance or new equipment so their equipment runs effectively.
