The Florida Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program
This assistance program provides grants to state residents through private companies, including nonprofit agencies and local governments, that will help eligible low-income households in meeting and paying the costs of home heating and cooling.
Florida Weatherization Assistance Program
The Weatherization Assistance Program in Florida provides grant and funds to local governments, community action agencies, Indian tribes and also nonprofit agencies. The money is intended to provide specific program services to help low-income families of Florida. These entities provide program services throughout the state which will help lower utility bills.

Funds to provide assistance are collected by OUC and then turned over to the Community Services Network (CSN), an Orlando local, nonprofit community assistance agency. The maximum household benefit is $300 for a one-year period.
Energy Neighbor Fund
They offer low-income families who may be facing unexpected energy costs help with their electric bills. These customers can receive help through the Energy neighbor fund. All funds paid are distributed through local social service agencies to pay for electricity, oil, gas, wood, or other ways to heat a home.
SHARE program will help elderly customers in Florida who are lower income and/or medically disabled help with utility bills and other energy-related expenses. This is a good program to help with cooling for the elderly during the long, hot summer. Find other ways to get help from Tampa Electric.
Weather Care offered
Free home improvements are available to all senior citizens 60 years and older on low, fixed incomes whose houses may be in need of energy related improvements. This help program is a joint service offered by Tampa Electric as well as The Center for Women and it will lower your utility and electric bills.
